Did you know credit card companies have been cracking down on merchants that do not sufficiently protect credit card data?  To help provide guidance on what you should be doing to protect your data, the Payment Card Industry (PCI) set standards to help safeguard your data.

For example, credit card data stored in a software program should be stored in a program that is certified compliant with Payment Application Best Practices (PABP).

The next time you need to generate some new members, try this:

Select a weapon, duffle bag or other item you don’t mind giving away and you think tehy will want. At the end of your next class, auction it off.  Except the winner does not pay cash; the winner is the one who provided the name and number of the most referrals.  I’ve found this is good for 10 - 15 referrals, and you can do it 3 -4 times per year with success.The more animated and fun the presentation, the better the success.
