Did you know credit card companies have been cracking down on merchants that do not sufficiently protect credit card data? To help provide guidance on what you should be doing to protect your data, the Payment Card Industry (PCI) set standards to help safeguard your data.

For example, credit card data stored in a software program should be stored in a program that is certified compliant with Payment Application Best Practices (PABP).

GREAT NEWS: The iGo Figure Martial Arts Studio Management software is certified PABP compliant!

Here is a link to the certification:

http://usa.visa.com/download/merchants/validated_payment_applications.pdf?it=c|/merchants/risk_management/cisp_payment_applications.html|Validated%20Payment%20Applications

Go Figure is on page 19.

Surprisingly, many companies that claim to be certified are absent from the list. In fact, most other dojo management software companies have yet to meet PABP standards.

Scary.

Cheers,

The one thing I’ve found that generates the most business for karate studies is sitting right there in your studio now - your students. Nothing generates more business than a happy student. Problem is that getting them to refer a friend can be like pulling teeth.

The next time you need to generate some new members, try this:

Select a weapon, duffle bag or other item you don’t mind giving away and you think tehy will want. At the end of your next class, auction it off. Except the winner does not pay cash; the winner is the one who provided the name and number of the most referrals. I’ve found this is good for 10 - 15 referrals, and you can do it 3 -4 times per year with success. The more animated and fun the presentation, the better the success.

And you can track these referrals in the iGo Figure marial arts studio management software.

Good luck!

As mixed martial arts continue to grow in popularity (who doesn’t like to watch a great MMA match?), so do the number of studios that cater to MMA. Even one of our developers recently competed in and won a local competition.

Some have asked if our software can handle the needs of a MMA facility, and, of course, the answer is yes. It does everything you need to run your facility. And then some. If you have any questions about how the iGoFigure Software can help manage your MMA facility or any other business, give us a call.

Cheers,

I recently surveyed what other billing solutions companies offer for martial arts studios. I could not believe it. The rates charged by some are so ridiculously high, I don’t see how a dojo can stay in business.

The good news is that Go Figure has integrated with high volume low cost payment processors that offer the best payment processing rates available. $.10 per transation for EFTs, and credit cards rates guaranteed to meet or beat any competitor (send us a statement and we will show you how). One facility that recently switched will save $20,000+ on payment processing fees this year alone.

And its totally integrated so you can process payments with a few clicks of the mouse right from the iGo Figure Software.

If you are paying through the nose to process your payments and would like to stop, give us a call.

Cheers,

Welcome to Go Figure!

For years, Go Figure has been the largest fitness club management software in the world. We recently significantly upgraded the software to a SQL 2005 platform and a significantly more robust and flexible user interface that is extremely user friendly.

The added flexibility has allowed us to address the needs of many, many different markets, including martial arts studio management. Our CEO, Kyle Zagrodzky, was particularly interested in applying the software to martial arts studios because he is also a registered black belt.

Go Figure has spent millions of dollars developing the software, yet because of our large customer base, it is one of the least expensive, yet most feature-rich software packages available to run your facility. Because of our large customer base, we have also been able to leverage terrific rates for payment processing - ACH for $.10 a transaction, for example.

Since we have started marketing to martial arts facilities, the software has been very well received.

If you have any questions about the software or our company, please let us know, we’d love to hear from you.

Cheers,

Matt Zagrodzky, Vice President
